Grading System
Lumber is graded based upon the standards set by the National Lumber Grades Authority, licensed through the Ontario Lumber Manufacturers Association.
Grades available include 1, 2, 3, 4.
Species
Our lumber is produced from Eastern White Spruce, Black Spruce and Jackpine.
Rough Lumber
Rough lumber refers to lumber that has not been processed beyond the initial sawing process. It is typically rough in texture and generally not used where it will be exposed to view (ie, used mainly as studs or framing and covered by other materials).
Available in all sizes and lengths listed below.
Dressed Lumber
Dressed lumber refers to lumber that has been “planed”. The rough exterior of the lumber has been mechanically removed through a shaving process that leaves a smooth finish.

Green Lumber
Green lumber refers to lumber that has retained a moisture content of more than 19%. Generally this lumber has not been placed through a process to have its moisture removed.
Available in all sizes and lengths listed below.
Dry Lumber
Dry lumber refers to lumber that has a moisture content of 19% or less. It has been processed through a dry kiln or left to dry naturally in an environment conducive to moisture removal.
Available in 2×3″, 2×4″, 2×6″, 2×8″, and 2×10″.
By-products including sawdust, bark, shavings and chips are also available
and sold in bulk quantities at current market rates.

Transportation:
There are two modes of transportation available from this location:
1- Highway transports and trucks to Canada & the USA, and
2- Railway on the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR).
